Utah marriage records
Utah Vital Records:
Certification of marriage and divorce occurring in Utah from 1978 to present are issued in the State
office. Requests prior to 1978 are issued by the county where the marriage or divorce occurred.
The Utah Department of Health, Office of Utah Vital Records and Statistics has issued certified copies
of birth and death certificates since 1905.
Certificates are available to immediate family members or to persons with written permission from
the immediate family.
